Echoes of Mexican Culture is a short video created by Tlatoani and will be running on the Hargreaves Mall big screen throughout the Fiesta Bendigo Campaign. A tribute to the vibrant soul of Mexico, inspired by Frida Kahlo’s legacy—celebrating identity, tradition, and creativity.

Kid's painting Worshop

Guided painting inspired by Frida's self portraits.
Immerse yourself in vibrant colors and Mexican flair! Join Tlatoani’s hands-on workshops where culture, creativity, and community come alive. Kids will create their own masterpieces while drawing from the vibrant world of Frida Kahlo’s self-portraits.
Sessions run for aproximately 60 minutes starting at 11am, 12pm & 1pm. All materials are included and kids will leave with their own piece of art to take home.
Suitable for children 6-12 years old.
This is a free event - no bookings required but come down early to secure your spot.

Traditional Mexican Headpiece Workshop
Immerse yourself in vibrant colors and Mexican flair! Join Tlatoani’s hands-on workshops where culture, creativity, and community come alive. Participants will create their own floral headpiece, inspired by Frida Kahlo's iconic look.
Sessions run for aproximately 60 minutes starting at 11am, 12pm & 1pm. All materials are included.
Suitable for ages 6 to 106!

Piñata Workshop

One-hour workshop.
The Piñatas workshop will be focused on “Drum type” construction technique, the participants will get to know the Mexican culture through the decoration process,
In this decoration technique will be utilizing paper of different textures and colours and glue.Feel free to practice your Spanish with the main artist !

Presented by Tlatoani and artist Ivan Sun, this runway experience will feature handcrafted huipiles, regional dresses, and live performances from Mexbourne Dance Group. A tribute to Frida Kahlo’s enduring legacy—through fashion, movement, and identity.
